Terms of Use
Knight Wallet · Draft version 0.9 · 1 November 2026 · Awaiting lawyer review
These terms are an agreement between you and Dyrection LLC, a company registered in the Cayman Islands (5th Floor Genesis Building, Genesis Close, PO Box 446, Grand Cayman KY1-1106) ("Dyrection", "we", "us"). They apply when you download or use the Knight Wallet app ("Knight" or "the app"). If you do not agree, do not use Knight.
1. What Knight is, and what it is not
1.1 Knight is software. It is a self-custody ("non-custodial") wallet app that runs on your phone. It helps you create and store your own keys, see your balances, sign your own transactions and connect to blockchains and third-party services.
1.2 We never hold your money or your keys. Your recovery phrase and private keys are created and kept only on your device, protected by your device's security (Face ID, fingerprint or passcode). We cannot see, move, freeze, recover or reverse your assets or your transactions.
1.3 We are not a bank, exchange, broker, money transmitter, custodian, investment adviser, betting operator or payment provider. We do not buy, sell, swap, lend or hold crypto-assets for you, and we do not take deposits.
1.4 Third-party services do the rest. Swaps, bridges, perpetual futures, prediction markets, card purchases and similar features are provided by independent third parties (see section 6 and the Third-party services notice). Knight only shows you their prices and prepares a transaction that you review and sign. Your agreement for that service is with that third party.
2. Who may use Knight
2.1 You must be at least 18 years old, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.
2.2 You may not use Knight if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, or organised under the laws of a country or region listed in our Sanctions and restricted countries policy, or if you are named on a sanctions list of the United Nations, the United States (OFAC), the European Union, the United Kingdom, the Cayman Islands or the United Arab Emirates, or are owned or controlled by such a person.
2.3 Some features are switched off in some countries because local law restricts them. You must not try to get around these limits, for example with a VPN, a false location or a changed phone region.
2.4 You are responsible for making sure your use of Knight and of each third-party service is legal where you are.
3. Your wallet and your recovery phrase
3.1 You alone are responsible for your recovery phrase. Write it down and keep it safe and private. Anyone who has it can take your assets. If you lose it and your device, your assets are lost for good. We cannot reset it.
3.2 We will never ask for your recovery phrase, private key or PIN. Anyone who asks is a scammer.
3.3 Features such as cloud-free wallet transfer by QR code, Ledger hardware wallet support and Face ID unlock are tools to help you. They do not move responsibility for your keys to us.
4. Transactions
4.1 You review and approve every transaction. Blockchain transactions are usually final and cannot be reversed. Check the address, the network, the amount and the fees before you sign.
4.2 Network fees ("gas") go to the blockchain network, not to us. They can change quickly.
4.3 Prices, quotes, balances, charts, sentiment and other information in Knight come from third parties and may be late, wrong or incomplete. A quote is not a promise: the final amount can differ because of price movement, slippage or network conditions.
5. Fees
5.1 Knight is free to download. Some features include a fee that is added to the transaction you sign, for example a share of the swap price. Every fee is shown before you confirm. Our current fees are listed on the Fees page.
5.2 Third parties may charge their own fees. Knight shows them when the third party tells us.
5.3 Knight Pro is an optional paid subscription, sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The Knight Pro terms apply to it.
6. Third-party services
6.1 Knight lets you reach services we do not own or control, including LI.FI (swaps and bridges), Hyperliquid (perpetual futures), Polymarket (prediction markets), Ramp and MoonPay (buying and selling with cards or bank transfer), WalletConnect and other dApps, blockchain data providers and safety-check providers.
6.2 Those services have their own terms, privacy policies, eligibility rules and risks. We do not check, endorse or guarantee them, and we are not responsible for their actions, failures, losses, smart-contract bugs, hacks, prices or decisions to block you.
6.3 A dApp you open in the built-in browser, or connect with WalletConnect, is not part of Knight.
7. Risks
Using crypto-assets is risky. You can lose all the money you put in. Please read our Risk disclosures before you use swaps, bridges, perpetual futures or prediction markets. By using those features you confirm that you understand those risks and accept them.
8. No advice
Nothing in Knight is financial, investment, tax, legal or betting advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. This includes Knight Mood sentiment, trending lists, safety scores, banners and notifications. Do your own research and get professional advice if you need it.
9. Safety checks
Dyrection Shield and other scam, token and website checks are best-effort warnings. They can miss a scam or wrongly flag something safe. A missing warning does not mean something is safe. See the Safety checks notice.
10. Rules of use
You must not:
- use Knight for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions evasion or any other crime;
- use Knight to receive or send assets of a sanctioned person or from a sanctioned address;
- attack, overload, reverse-engineer for harmful purposes, or interfere with Knight or the services it connects to;
- copy, sell or rebrand Knight, or use our names or logos without permission;
- misuse referral, reward or tester programs, for example with fake accounts.
We may block access to features or services that we operate (such as quotes, alerts or lists) if we reasonably believe you broke these rules or the law requires it. Because Knight is self-custody, this never gives us control of your assets.
11. Beta and test versions
Test builds (such as TestFlight or the Android test download) are unfinished and may contain errors. The Tester terms apply to them in addition to these terms.
12. Intellectual property
Knight, its design, code, names and logos belong to Dyrection or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own purposes under these terms. Open-source parts are covered by their own licences.
For apps downloaded from the Apple App Store, the terms in the appendix "Apple App Store" also apply.
13. Disclaimers
Knight is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, including that Knight will be error-free, secure, always available, or fit for a particular purpose, or that any information in it is accurate.
14. Limits of our liability
14.1 To the fullest extent the law allows, Dyrection and its directors, staff and partners are not liable for:
- loss of crypto-assets caused by lost or stolen recovery phrases, keys or devices, malware, phishing, or your own mistakes;
- losses from third-party services, smart contracts, blockchains, bridges, oracles or market movements;
- indirect or consequential losses, or lost profits, data or opportunity.
14.2 Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim, and (b) USD 100.
14.3 Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer in the EU, UK or another country with mandatory consumer rights, you keep those rights.
15. Indemnity
You agree to compensate Dyrection for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) caused by your breach of these terms or of the law, to the extent the law allows.
16. Changes and ending
16.1 We may update Knight and these terms. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app before it applies. If you keep using Knight after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using Knight.
16.2 You can stop using Knight at any time by deleting the app. Make sure you have your recovery phrase first.
16.3 We may stop offering Knight, or any feature, at any time. Your assets stay on the blockchain and you can use your recovery phrase in another compatible wallet.
17. Law and disputes
17.1 These terms are governed by the laws of the Cayman Islands. [LAWYER: confirm governing law and whether to use arbitration.]
17.2 Please contact us first at support@dyrection.com; most problems can be solved that way. If not, disputes will be decided by the courts of the Cayman Islands, unless the law of your home country gives you the right to go to your local courts as a consumer.
18. Other terms
If a part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right, we do not give it up. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them to a company that takes over Knight. These terms, together with the documents linked from them, are the whole agreement between you and us about Knight. The English version governs if a translation differs.

Appendix: Apple App Store
If you downloaded Knight from the Apple App Store: (a) these terms are between you and Dyrection, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for Knight; (b) Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support; (c) if Knight fails to meet a warranty, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any), and Apple has no other warranty obligation; (d) Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to Knight, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims; (e) Apple is not responsible for any claim that Knight infringes someone's intellectual property; (f) you confirm you are not in a country subject to a US embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties; (g) Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
